Xbox and IKEA have released details on the Yxstaby collection, a nine-piece line of gaming-themed furniture timed to the console's 25th anniversary. The assortment features functional home items such as a lounge chair with hidden controller storage, a rolling TV stand for sets up to 55 inches, side tables with charging compartments, a laptop stand toolbox, monitor stands, and smaller accessories including a D-pad cushion and mirrored display box.

The collection's centerpiece is a translucent green thumbstick stool derived directly from the original Xbox controller's 3D design files, complete with a textured surface and tilting motion intended to mirror analog stick behavior. Additional pieces incorporate green X motifs and Xbox-inspired details while aiming to blend into standard living spaces rather than dedicated gaming setups. Pricing in the UK starts at £12 for the cushion and platter and reaches £115 for the side table, with availability set for October 1 in stores and online across markets.

The collaboration stems from meetings between design teams at Milan Design Week in 2024, building on prior Xbox design philosophy that has long used IKEA's Billy bookcase as a reference standard. It marks another step by IKEA into gaming-adjacent products following earlier partnerships.
