Xbox has released a series of updates to its achievements system, now available to select Xbox Insiders. The changes are modest, focusing on visual tweaks and profile management options that may appeal to those particular about their Gamerscore presentation.

Achievement notifications receive a refreshed appearance, incorporating custom user colors previously introduced in March, along with new icons and animations for rare or classic achievements. Later this month, users will be able to hide specific games from their profile's achievement list, preserving total Gamerscore and activity tracking while decluttering the view. Fully completed games will be highlighted automatically, with new filters to isolate them.

The Xbox team describes this as 'a small but meaningful step' toward broader improvements, with rollout expanding to more Insiders before general availability. Community figures like Klobrille have noted the features promptly on X, mirroring the official announcement without much additional commentary.

These adjustments align with ongoing Insider feedback, though they do little to alter the fundamental mechanics of achievement hunting.
