Visual Concepts, the Take-Two studio behind WWE 2K26, has quietly let go of staff in what marks the third round of cuts at the developer in three years. Multiple employees posted on LinkedIn yesterday confirming the moves, including a software engineer who noted being affected alongside many talented colleagues and a systems designer who wrapped up three years and change at the studio.

One game designer shared a particularly pointed detail: diagnosed last week with an autoimmune disorder that will shorten their lifespan, they were let go while on a sick day because of it. 2K declined to comment when reached, offering the standard line about having nothing to share at this time.

This follows similar reductions at other 2K studios this year, including Cat Daddy Games in July 2025 and Firaxis in September 2025, plus a recent cut at 31st Union. Reports indicate the WWE 2K teams took the hardest hit among the affected groups, though exact numbers remain undisclosed.
