Season 2 of WARDOGS dropped on October 15 with the promise of a real fresh start, but Bulkhead's "sped up progression" and a Driver XP loophole turned it into a tank-stomping free-for-all on day one. Players figured out they could just drive outside HQ, drop pallets, and loop back for massive XP gains, unlocking T-72B3 tanks and Tier 4 armor before most infantry even had counters.

Bulkhead admitted the mistake fast, pushed a backend fix, removed the Lonestar bonus, slowed Driver XP back to Season 1 pace, and handed 24-hour bans to the worst exploiters (under 1,000 accounts). Co-founder Howard Philpott straight-up said they "got a few things wrong" and that the wipe never really landed because end-game gear showed up in days instead of weeks.

Now they're skipping the knee-jerk reset and bringing Season 3 forward significantly instead, with more details dropping in next week's dev vlog. The community is split—some want the season to ride, others are already memeing the early S3 announcement—but at least the devs owned the screw-up instead of gaslighting.
