Idea Factory International has locked in January 26, 2027, for the Western debut of Villion:Code, the Compile Heart action RPG produced by Kouji “Cozy” Okada. The title arrives on PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch 2, Switch, and Steam after launching in Japan on June 25, 2026, a roughly seven-month gap that lets the studio polish English support while the Japanese player base already navigates the sealed Adhvan Resilience School and its GEM mutations.

Key talent from the Megami Tensei and Persona era reunites here: scenario writer Tadashi Satomi, composer Tsukasa Masuko, and character designer Ilya Kuvshinov. The narrative drops players into a near-future academy city sealed inside a mysterious bubble after monstrous GEMs attack, forcing students to confront personal “karma” amid randomly generated 360-degree tube dungeons inspired by Buddhism’s Ten Evils. Combat centers on Genome Arms—mutated weapons that shift between melee and ranged styles—paired with Genome Cube crafting drawn from dungeon loot.

Physical editions land for PS5 in both regions, plus PS4 and Switch in North America only; digital Standard and Deluxe versions will hit every platform, the latter bundling a 124-page art book and 27-track soundtrack. Console releases carry Japanese voice with English subtitles, while the Steam build adds full Japanese audio plus English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese text. The announcement trailer and official site are live, and Steam wishlisting opened with the initial Western reveal.

No concrete sales figures or post-launch patch details have surfaced yet, but the pedigree and multi-platform reach position Villion:Code as one of the more intriguing 2027 imports for fans of Okada’s earlier work.
