Grim Ronin unveiled their retro-cyberpunk imsim at TGS 2026, promising stealth, rooftop parkour, stolen passwords, and survival horror in a walled-off Neo-Tokyo district that screams Kowloon Walled City meets Blade Runner. You play as mercenary Reiko Kimura, crawling vents, hacking cams, shooting lights, and doing drop assassinations like a nimbler JC Denton with Dishonored 2 movement.

Steam page confirms early access with an 18-24 month public alpha, hand-crafted vertical city full of freeform exploration, noise propagation stealth, and tools like grappling hooks and high-tech traps. Trailer hits all the classics—0451 gag included—and the movement and gunplay already look tighter than most indie imsims even if some animations need polish. Embracer teased a new Deus Ex earlier this year but that's years away at best, so this is the closest thing to scratching that itch right now.
