TMNT Arcade: Wrath of the Mutants is getting the Ninja Edition treatment on Switch 2, dropping digitally September 4 with physical following October 9. Trailmark Games is publishing this expanded port of the 2017 Raw Thrills arcade cabinet, which already hit original Switch and other platforms back in 2025 with extra stages and bosses.
The 2012 Nickelodeon turtles return voiced by the OG cast—Seth Green, Sean Astin, Rob Paulsen, Greg Cipes—plus the usual six stages, 13 bosses, local four-player co-op, and mutant summon tokens. Nintendo Everything reports the Ninja Edition brings Switch 2-specific upgrades like 4K docked, 60 FPS, HDR, better lighting/shadows, plus two new playable characters: Master Splinter and Casey Jones. Trailmark's own X post confirms the new fighters and calls it an exclusive Switch 2 thing.
Gematsu broke the story with the exact dates and overview, while Wario64 and Nintendo Life accounts are already linking preorders. Community X chatter is light but positive on the nostalgia angle, with some pointing out the original console version's short length. Whether the new characters and performance bump turn this into a must-play couch co-op session remains to be seen, but the shell shock is coming fast.
L + ratio + this is peak Switch 2 filler energy, but hey, turtles with Casey and Splinter? Goated.
