The filing, reported by TorrentFreak and covered by VGC, states the investigation is “rapidly evolving” with new information coming in fast. Take-Two withdrew its earlier broad YouTube subpoena after shifting focus, while the first Discord request—seeking data on multiple servers and potentially thousands of users—has reportedly already been served despite Discord’s public statement on August 24 that it had not yet received it. Earlier subpoenas targeted Microsoft for OneDrive, Xbox, and device data tied to the Cyberleek persona and associated accounts.

This shift from wide-net requests naming servers like Ødyssey.gg and DarkViperAU to sealed, targeted demands shows the company tightening its approach as the timeline tightens. Microsoft’s Xbox CTO has publicly pledged cooperation to protect IP, but the sealed nature of the latest request raises the stakes for anyone whose data might still be in play. The leaker’s own moves, including monetizing attention via a meme coin, continue to fuel the chase.
