Krafton reported its strongest quarter on record, with revenue climbing 94.9 percent to $889.1 million and operating profit rising 67 percent to $283.1 million for the three months ended June 30.

Subnautica 2, which entered Early Access in May, accounted for a significant portion of the lift after selling more than five million units in its first 22 days; the full Subnautica IP generated ₩232.5 billion ($160.2 million) in first-half revenue.

PUBG franchise revenue grew 25 percent year-over-year on the back of ongoing platform expansions and cultural tie-ins, pushing PC revenue above ₩500 billion ($344.4 million) for the first time while console revenue jumped 143.3 percent.

The company settled its long-running earnout dispute with former Unknown Worlds leadership near quarter-end, agreeing to pay the disputed $250 million bonus after Subnautica 2's performance triggered the threshold; net profit for the quarter still landed at a loss of ₩29.9 billion after one-time items.

Krafton plans to unveil five new titles at Gamescom next month, all slated for release by 2027, as it positions Subnautica as its second major franchise alongside an expanding PUBG content platform.
