Starsand Island is ditching Early Access on August 18 with a global 1.0 drop that finally brings online co-op for up to four players, letting you farm, fish, build, and vibe together across PC, Xbox, and the new PS5 and Switch 2 versions.
Seed Sparkle Lab kicked this off in February on Steam and Xbox with that classic cozy sim loop—exploring, crafting, raising animals—while promising to tweak stuff based on feedback, and the trailer straight-up thanks the community for shaping the final cut. Physical editions are already getting teased for November on some platforms, and a launch discount is dropping to pull in the Switch 2 crowd.
X is already hyped with Japanese and French posts hyping the date alongside trailers, while Reddit's cozy gamers are mixed—some paused for controller fixes and bugs but others are still waiting on the full console ports. This one feels like it's riding the post-Stardew wave into the mainstream island life scene.
Version 1.0 is just the start according to the devs, with more content incoming after the big day.
