EA just dropped the official number: Star Wars Zero Company has sold over one million copies worldwide across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The milestone announcement from the official Star Wars account comes right as Patch 1.2 gets locked in for next week, keeping the post-launch momentum alive.

Bit Reactor’s XCOM-style tactics game launched August 27 and immediately stood out in a stacked release window. Earlier estimates from Alinea Analytics had it hovering right around the million mark with roughly $50 million in revenue, but now EA has stamped it official. Steam still dominates with nearly 70% of sales, while console buyers paid more per copy on average.

The timing matters more than the raw number. Bit Reactor had furloughed most of the team before launch and only started bringing people back once the sales started rolling in. Patch 1.2 is the first real signal that support isn’t going away. The game’s still pulling in new operators while the studio tries to stabilize.

One million copies for a debut turn-based Star Wars tactics title is a genuine win for Bit Reactor and a reminder that the genre still has legs when the IP and systems line up. The real test now is whether Patch 1.2 delivers enough to keep that audience growing.
