Shape of Dreams arrives on PS5 today carrying the full weight of a year's worth of Steam polish and a 1.5-million-player player count, landing alongside The Starless Path, the largest update yet from Lizard Smoothie. The console version bundles every patch, new Traveler Cetus, the Way of Stars progression system, and cross-play unification with PC and other platforms straight out of the gate.
Nine distinct Travelers now populate the Rapids, each anchored by a Traveler Memory and Identity Memory that players can swap or augment with over 200 Memories and Essences for wildly different builds. Four-player co-op emphasizes interlocking synergies rather than rigid roles, and the update adds tougher secondary boss patterns plus six Universal Identity Memories that open fresh progression paths.
The Starless Path also introduces a new ending route and deeper individual Traveler stories that unfold across repeated runs. Console players receive the entire year's worth of iteration at launch instead of waiting for piecemeal patches, a deliberate move that gives the PS5 version the same depth the PC community already refined.
