Pre-orders for the ROG Xbox Ally X20 handheld opened today at $1,299.99 through Best Buy and the ASUS store, with shipments scheduled for October 15.

The device features a 7.4-inch 1080p OLED display with FreeSync Premium Pro, AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, 24GB LPDDR5X-8000 RAM, and a 1TB upgradeable SSD, along with TMR joysticks, a transforming D-pad, and ergonomic grips. An optional bundle including ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 AR glasses, a Dbrand Killswitch case, and a Pelican carry case is listed at $2,499.99.

Lower-priced ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X models remain available, while the X20 positions itself as a refined Windows handheld option amid competing devices from MSI and others.

Asus representatives confirmed the standalone pricing removes the previous bundle requirement noted in earlier coverage.
