Resident Evil 4 Remake has moved 16.8 million copies across PlayStation, Steam, and Xbox since the current console generation began, according to Alinea Analytics estimates released this week.

PlayStation leads with 7.4 million units, Steam follows at 6.8 million, and Xbox trails at 1.6 million. The title has generated roughly $560 million in gross revenue, with nearly 4 million of those sales occurring in 2026 alone.

Alinea notes Steam's regional pricing and frequent discounts have sustained momentum in markets like China, Brazil, and Russia, lifting the platform's revenue share from 28 percent at launch to 34.1 percent currently. Other current-gen remakes trail considerably, with Ark: Survival Ascended at an estimated 7 million and The Last of Us Part 1 at 6.3 million.

The figures come from market analysis rather than Capcom's official filings, which last reported 13.6 million as of March 2026.
