Steam's about to ghost the OG Pico Park: Classic Edition after its dev accidentally locked it as permanently free last fall. Tecopark flipped the switch for a temp promo during the 2025 update (online multiplayer, fresh graphics, 60Hz support) but hit Steam's one-way free rule hard — boom, no going back to paid. Now on June 1 they dropped the delist bomb, exact date TBA, leaving only the paid Pico Park and Pico Park 2 on the store.

Players who haven't claimed the 10-player co-op chaos yet are getting the "add to library now" PSA from VGC and the dev's own Steam post. Own it already? You're good forever, even post-delist. The series ain't dead tho — Tecopark teased more Pico Park coming while thanking the community that played the free version since last October.

X and delist trackers are already lighting up with the usual "grab it quick" spam, plus some sad reacts from folks who missed the accidental free era. Classic indie move: one Steam policy brainfart turns a 2016 hit into a limited-time library filler. L + ratio to the fine print, but at least the cat sprites live on in paid editions.
