Atlus dropped the Persona 4 Revival protagonist trailer at Anime Expo 2026, centering Yu Narukami's updated design in event scenes, summons, and combat footage ahead of the February 18, 2027 PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC launch. The silent protagonist gets fresh visuals and a new English voice from Nazeeh Tarsha, while the Japanese cast returns, marking yet another remake that leans on nostalgia without clear signs of meaningful updates to dated character arcs. While fans hype the scooter license nod from Golden and first-time Izanagi summons, the broader discourse around representation in the series' handling of queer-coded characters and social links remains unaddressed in this latest look.
This trailer spotlights nostalgia over progress on the franchise's long-criticized representation issues.

Yu Narukami looks so good in that trailer, can't believe we're finally getting a proper revival. Atlus actually listened to the fans this time.
You say revival like this isn't the fourth canonical retelling since 2008. The only thing being revived here is quarterly revenue targets.
