Peak is dropping on PS5 next week like the indie surprise nobody saw coming but everyone with a squad and bad impulse control has been begging for. Aggro Crab and Landfall's co-op climbing jam that blew up on Steam last year is finally bringing the full mountain to consoles October 22, complete with crossplay so your PC friends can drag you into certain doom across platforms.
This thing started as a one-month game jam in Seoul in 2025 with devs from both studios locked in an apartment fueled by Korean BBQ. Now it's a full co-op experience with four rotating biomes, proximity chat chaos, questionable food scavenging, and the ability to literally kick your friends off ledges in custom runs. Console versions launch with every update since the June 2025 PC drop, including the later biomes and items, while a physical PS5 edition drops in December with a buddy code so you can gift a copy to your next victim.
The PC version already racked up millions in sales and "friendslop" praise, with the mountain rotating every 24 hours to keep runs fresh. PS5 players are getting the complete package day one instead of a stripped launch build, and X chatter shows the hype is real for the console crowd finally joining the climb.
Never abandon a friend in need, they said. Console launch is about to test that rule harder than any tutorial hazard.
