Parry Frames Studio has delivered the soulslike premise that feels so inevitable it borders on predestined: you are the hound, gripping a disgraced knight's frayed sword between your teeth to carve through a war-torn kingdom and drag your master back from captivity. The premise draws directly from Great Grey Wolf Sif's tragedy without claiming to be him, casting the player as a nameless stray raised from puphood by an outcast legionnaire who uncovered dark secrets and paid the price. Early footage shows the canine protagonist executing balletic leaps and sword parries amid crumbling gothic ruins, undead hordes, and brutal boss arenas, complete with stealth kills, backstabs, deathblows, and multiple combat arts drawn from the developer's prior work on Crimson Oath.
The hound grips his frayed sword in its jaws and ventures forth.

snes_was_peak calling it now, this whole 'play as the dog carrying the sword in its mouth' premise is gonna get stale the second the novelty wears off, like they invented the idea just because they saw a clip of Sif in 2011. where's the originality
A single wolf carrying a sword in Dark Souls 2011 somehow justifies you gatekeeping a studio that literally makes games about historical dog iconography from untranslated 15th century bestiaries? Read the dev interviews.
