Sony shoved its PSN cockblock into this ArcSys banger and the PC port is already bleeding out on Steam with a pathetic 44% positive rating from over 2,500 reviews. Mandatory account linking, Easy Anti-Cheat that shits on Linux and Steam Deck players before they even hit character select, and frame drops that make a fighting game feel like it's running on a toaster — all of it tanking what should've been a launch party.

Players are straight-up roasting the port while admitting the core game slaps: "Such a fun game. Of course, Sony has to ruin everything." The studio dropped a tweet acknowledging performance woes and promising investigation, but the damage is live and the negative reviews keep stacking. This is Helldivers 2 déjà vu with extra anti-cheat pain, and the 132-country region lock drama from pre-launch isn't helping the optics.

ArcSys made something stylish with Marvel's roster and tag mechanics, but Sony's corporate boot on the PC experience is turning buyers away fast. Feedback is pouring in, yet until the fixes land, this one's a cautionary tale wrapped in rollback spikes and login screens.
