The Krakoan Reels Vol. 2 event is running through late September with photo spots, Pop & Win discounts, and even Jeff the Land Shark finally remembering how to swim in Hellfire Bay. It’s the usual live-service cosmetics dump, but this one got loud fast.
The Sacred Skies skin dropped as an Epic rarity while other female swimsuit skins landed Legendary, and the community torched the decision with accusations of disrespect toward Storm and other Black characters. Within hours NetEase backpedaled, upgrading it to Legendary for free — new lobby animation, updated MVP, free Ultimate effect — but keeping the $16 price tag and promising more high-tier Storm cosmetics later this year.
