Bungie finally grabbed the nerf bat and swung for the fences on Marathon's Biotoxic Disinjector, that overpowered piece-of-shit contraband laser-grenade abomination dropping from the Cryo Archive raid boss. This hybrid hellspawn was turning endgame raids into a goddamn solo speedrun, melting the Compiler boss faster than a noob in voice chat quits after one death. No more dominion, you sweaty fucks—its reign of terror is officially fucked.

Game director Joe Ziegler owned up to the clusterfuck, admitting the Biotoxic Disinjector was 'too strong' and slapping a brutal 35% damage nerf across the entire goddamn board live on April 3rd at 6pm PT. 'We wanted to curb a little bit of its dominion,' he posted, promising more tweaks if this quickfix doesn't stick the landing. Community sweats were split: some whined it was ruining PVP depth, others begged 'don't nerf ever' like junkies protecting their fix. Too bad, cry more—balance demands blood.

Players were straight-up furious pre-nerf, with Forbes calling it a 'broken endgame weapon' that had everyone raging. Hell, even after the patch, some YouTubers scream it's STILL OP and needs round two. Bungie deserves a slow clap for the hyper-reactive hammer drop—this ain't Destiny 2's eternal beta test. But if the Disinjector keeps shitting on raid comps and PVP sweatfests, bury the bastard deeper. Marathon's too good to let one gun assrape the meta.

Keep the nerfs coming, Bungie. Nothing gets my blood pumping like watching OP trash get curb-stomped into oblivion.
