Venture capital firm Makers Fund has closed its fourth investment round, bringing in $250 million and lifting total assets under management to $1.5 billion. The Singapore-based outfit, which has backed companies including Bossa Studios, AudioMob, Redhill Games, Dream Games, and TinyBuild, will use Fund IV to extend its reach into games, consumer applications, entertainment, and creation platforms.

General partner Jay Chi framed the raise around creators as the enduring element amid shifting user behaviors, distribution models, and technology waves. Earlier funds delivered what the firm describes as top 1% global venture performance, providing a track record that supports continued deployment in interactive entertainment.

Industry coverage from Game Developer, GamesIndustry.biz, and Business Wire notes the quiet expansion beyond core gaming in recent years. The move arrives against a backdrop of broader sector challenges, including reported layoffs and shifting monetization pressures.

Metrics tracking and quarterly reporting will likely consume additional bandwidth as capital deployment scales. The round was announced around August 20, 2026.
