Koei Tecmo's headcount has climbed from roughly 2,500 staff in 2024 to just over 2,850 the following year, then added another 193 domestic graduates this year to reach approximately 3,000 employees total.

CEO Hisashi Koinuma confirmed the milestone in a Famitsu interview and reiterated the long-term target of 5,000 staff to support more simultaneous development lines across the company's six brands and AAA Games Studio. The firm has already secured additional space at Yokohama Symphostage, which can house around 900 people, and is expanding employee dormitories and company housing while scouting further office options in Kyoto and elsewhere.

Koinuma also noted that new brands may emerge to let teams pursue projects outside existing IP expectations, and the company continues internal training to maintain quality amid the growth. Steady expansion remains the plan, with no indication of slowdown.
