The Injustice 3 rumor mill just got another solid hit. A stunt performer’s resume listing motion capture work for the unannounced DC fighter named Supergirl and Batwoman before the details vanished, confirming NetherRealm is deep in development on the sequel nearly a decade after Injustice 2.

Mackensi Emory, who previously handled mocap for Mortal Kombat 1 characters, had the Injustice 3 gig on her iStunt profile along with animator and stunt coordinator Jake Huang, another MK1 alum. The listing got scrubbed fast, but not before MP1st and outlets like Eurogamer and Kotaku picked it up.

Supergirl makes total sense as a returning fan-favorite from Injustice 2’s story. Batwoman is the real curveball though—she’s dead in the canon comics, so her inclusion likely means a new mantle-bearer, a timeline reset, or both. NetherRealm loves shaking up the roster.

Playtests popped up last week and voice actors have been hinting for over a year. A December Game Awards reveal and 2027 launch window line up with the studio’s four-year cycle after MK1. The DC fighter is cooking.
