Take-Two's legal net is tightening around the GTA 6 leaker, but CyberLeek just dropped clips eight and nine anyway, including a strip club sequence that ends with a character needing "a leak." The subpoenas targeting Microsoft and Discord records for accounts tied to specific servers and the CyberLeek persona were filed August 20 in the Southern District of New York and granted the next day, seeking emails, IPs, device IDs, OneDrive files, and linked Xbox accounts.

Xbox CTO Scott Van Vliet confirmed cooperation, while Discord stated it reviews and complies with valid DMCA subpoenas as standard procedure. Bloomberg reported internal frustration at Rockstar over the leaks, with no plans yet to delay the August 27 Netflix extended look. CyberLeek has promoted a memecoin throughout the campaign, using watermarks and community polls to drive engagement, and earlier clips showed bullet-hole messages and live gameplay indicators confirming access to a playable build rather than stolen pre-recorded footage.

YouTuber DarkViperAU, whose Discord server appeared in the filings, has denied any involvement. The leaker's continued releases despite the legal pressure highlight how quickly DMCA tools move compared to actual identification, leaving Rockstar and Take-Two scrambling for the source while the footage keeps surfacing.
