Newzoo data puts GTA 6 at roughly $260 million in global digital pre-orders during the first week after orders opened in late June, the strongest such campaign the firm has tracked. The projection scales from $180 million across the US and five largest European markets, using GTA 5 player distribution patterns for the rest of the world. Newzoo explicitly labels billion-dollar pre-order claims as absurd and notes most of the ramp is still ahead.
Launch-week revenue estimates range from $3.25 billion to $5.2 billion, with a central case around $4.5 billion and roughly 51 million units. That would dwarf GTA 5's three-day billion-dollar milestone, though the game launches only on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S at $80 standard and $100 ultimate editions with no physical disc. Pre-order curves suggest the numbers will grow substantially before November 19.
Corporate reporting continues in the usual measured fashion. Take-Two has not released official figures, and physical versions remain unavailable even for those who order now.
