Polyphony Digital just dropped the Spec IV bomb on Gran Turismo 7 during the latest State of Play, splitting the massive free update into October and December chunks to kick off the series' 30th anniversary year. Autumn Ring finally claws its way back after vanishing post-GT6 in 2013, complete with the classic layout plus a brand-new expanded version for higher-speed thrills, while Sportsland Sugo makes its full series debut as a technical Japanese circuit with elevation changes and that iconic Dunlop bridge.

The October wave brings Sugo, six new cars, a Vintage section for hard-to-find rides, Car Concierge for ordering used and Legend cars, driving challenges, a Car Viewer, and a Collector Level cap boost. December follows with Autumn Ring, the remaining six cars, Family Mode for younger players, Shuffle Race randomness, online drift trials, and another evolution of Gran Turismo Sophy plus a new Power Pack difficulty tier. Kazunori Yamauchi called it out as letting millions experience the classic track for the first time.

Twelve cars total drop across both parts, with early reveals including the V10-powered E60 BMW M5, a Mugen-liveried Honda Civic race car, Citroën 2CV, Honda Stepwgn Spada, Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Evo, and Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo concept.
