Forza Horizon 6 is firing up its Festival Playlist right out the gate with the 2008 Mazda Furai as the headliner reward for the "Welcome to Japan" series kicking off May 21. That Wankel rotary scream machine, the one that torched itself on Top Gear back in the day, drops as an 80-point grind for players grinding out weekly races, stunts, and modes through June 18.

Playground Games is stacking the series with Japanese icons like the Nissan 370Z, Evo IX, Skyline GT-R, and a bunch of Toyota and Subaru classics as seasonal drops, but the Furai is doing the heavy lifting for the hype. It's coming straight from Forza Motorsport's lineup, and the official Forza site is hyping that 450-hp 20B three-rotor engine that actually ran at Laguna Seca once upon a time.

X is already buzzing with fans counting down to May 21, calling it the perfect Japan-themed launch vehicle, while Reddit threads are lighting up over the FOMO-friendly live-service drop. The only model ever built burned in 2008, so this digital version better not spontaneously combust on the track.
