Studio Daimon just dropped the bomb: Food Devils locks in November 5 as its full release date after a year of demo hype. This post-apoc chef sim mixes Fire Emblem grid tactics, roguelite runs, restaurant management, and straight-up devil dating sim energy in one chaotic package.

Director Alfred Kamon spilled the tea in the Polygon exclusive: every system feeds the next. Hunt monsters for ingredients, cook buffs, customize the spot to pull in adventurers, then drag them on expeditions. Devil Contracts reclass units and flip their whole playstyle mid-run, while the Calories/Hunger system turns your overpowered Devil captain into a greedy battery that drains the squad. Combat style even shapes restaurant "culture" and unlocks pacifist or profit-driven story routes.

The devs leaned hard into romance too — not just with the five Food Devils but between them, where bonds unlock wild skill combos like mixing Hunter and Poison Contracts. Players already cooking in the free four-hour Steam demo are vibing with the spicy dialogue and "Fried Emblem" tag. Late-year indie breakout written all over it.
