The Switch 2 version led the pack while Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter pulled in 46,477 combined across platforms and Marvel’s Wolverine debuted at 20,039 on PS5. Switch 2 hardware moved another 34,341 units that week, keeping the new Nintendo machine on top.

These numbers come straight from Famitsu’s physical retail estimates, the same tracker that’s been calling Japanese sales for decades. The Fire Emblem title crushed its competition by a wide margin on the new hardware, with the Trails remake showing decent legs on both Switch 2 and PS5. Marvel’s Wolverine holding fifth place proves even Western action games can crack the top tier when they launch near other big releases.

Digital sales aren’t counted here, so the real total is higher, but the physical chart still tells the story of who’s moving boxes in Japan right now. Switch 2 continues to dominate the hardware side with over 6 million units lifetime, while older Switch models keep selling in smaller numbers. The rest of the top 10 is mostly holdovers like Rhythm Heaven Groove and Splatoon Raiders, showing the new console is carrying the market.
