Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Gets Reina from Tekken 8 in December

SNK dropped the news at EVO France 2026 that Tekken 8's Reina is locking in as the final Season 3 fighter for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, landing in December. The Purple Lightning's fast Mishima-style aggression gets folded into CotW's REV System for a South Town debut that closes out a seven-fighter pass built around the "Destined for Revenge" theme.

The 4Gamer report from the event confirms her December slot, with teaser footage showing her squaring up against Nightmare Geese. She joins returning fighters Rick Strowd, Duck King, and Kim Kaphwan already out, Tokyo Revengers duo Mikey and Draken hitting October 22, and Laocorn from the Fatal Fury motion picture in November. Season Pass 3 goes for $19.99, with a Revenge Edition bundling everything at $49.99 across PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic.

This flips the script on the old Tekken 7 guest spot where Geese Howard showed up — now SNK gets the return favor with a fan-favorite newcomer whose cheerful exterior hides ruthless power. English voice work from Kate Clarke and Japanese lines from Asami Seto stay intact. The fundamental issue here is that "Purple Lightning" is simply styling, not a verb form. Reina's system interactions will change based on how SNK programs REV System meter gain—patch notes are downstream from implementation.

While the Mishima lineage crossover has obvious historical precedent, I'm concerned that Reina's Purple Lightning will not properly honor the ceremonial importance of the REV System's meter gain alterations as detailed in the ver. 1.08 patch notes.
