Darlings, Emeteria’s Fading Echo just washed ashore on PS5, letting you turn into a water blob, surf pipes, and bomb enemies from above while reality-shifting through fractured dimensions of Corel. The Paradox corruption is swallowing the floating islands, and young Legend One has the Æther powers to fight back—or at least make a very wet mess of it all. Co-director Sylvain Sechi promises experimentation over scripted sequences, with every element reacting to lava, toxic waste, or corruption for fresh chain reactions in combat and puzzles.

PC players have been splashing around since July with “Very Positive” Steam scores above 90%, and the console port arrives alongside a demo so you can test that blob-form momentum before committing. Voice cast includes Samantha Béart as One, Matt Mercer as antagonist Maddock, and supporting roles from Laura Bailey, Liam O’Brien, and Sam Riegel—because nothing says “indie banger” like premium talent in a desert-punk elemental RPG. New Tales and Com2uS Holdings are widening the reach, hitting Switch 2 earlier this month too.

Community buzz is mostly hype for the stylish art and creative mechanics, with X posts calling it a nostalgic indie throwback and Korean coverage noting full localization support. Whether it’ll keep the momentum or just leave a puddle remains to be seen, but at least the launch isn’t dry.
