EA is conducting another round of layoffs, this time impacting recruitment, customer support, trust and safety, and IT teams in its Hyderabad office and among remote US roles.
Kotaku reported the cuts based on internal sources and public posts from affected employees, including some with over ten years at the company in Hyderabad. An internal email to the Fan Care team framed the changes as adapting to fans’ evolving needs by shifting roles and work to different teams or partners. No headcount was disclosed.
This marks the third round of reductions at EA in 2026, following earlier cuts at Full Circle and Battlefield studios. The moves come as the company approaches closure on a $55 billion acquisition by a consortium including Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, with the deal expected around June 30, 2026, and EA reporting $7.5 billion in net revenue for the fiscal year ending March 31.
