Dune: Awakening's full console launch on September 22 arrives with update 1.5, finally delivering the single-player mode players have demanded since the PC release last June. The entire game, story, features, and a year's worth of patches now run on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC alike, with physical editions hitting shelves via Bandai Namco in most regions and Spike Chunsoft in Japan.

Funcom's Chief Product Officer Scott Junior called it the best version yet, and the changes back the claim: PvP is now wholly optional across the board, the Deep Desert offers separate PvE and PvP instances, and progression no longer punishes players with lost bases, vehicles, or harsh death penalties. New story content completes Book One, while deep customization lets solo players tweak harvesting rates, enemy difficulty, XP gain, and more. The console versions bring Performance and Quality modes, haptic feedback on sandworms, and Xbox Play Anywhere support with day-one Game Pass availability.

Head start for Deluxe and Ultimate Edition owners began September 17, and PC owners can still grab the game at 50% off on Steam until October 8. Cross-play remains post-launch only, and single-player instances stay separate from multiplayer ones. The definitive Arrakis is here, stripped of the original MMO friction that defined its rocky start.
