Discord has bundled Xbox Game Pass Starter Edition with its Nitro subscriptions, providing access at no additional cost beyond the standard monthly fee of around $10. This starter tier offers a library of 50+ PC and console games, such as Fallout 4, Stardew Valley, Grounded, Hades, DayZ, and Doom Eternal, with more titles to be added periodically.

Included perks encompass 10 hours of cloud gaming per month and integration allowing users to join friends' Game Pass sessions directly from Discord. The offering aligns with the scale of previous essential memberships, deliberately excluding the broader catalog and day-one releases of the Ultimate tier.

Discord Senior Director Lu Zhang noted that this removes friction for library accumulation, while the rollout commences now in eligible regions over the coming weeks. Nitro members can access it via their Nitro Home dashboard.

X posts announcing the integration have accumulated thousands of likes, indicating baseline interest among Discord's audience, though uplift in subscriber metrics awaits quarterly reporting.

This partnership represents another incremental adjustment in subscription layering, with long-term retention figures to be monitored.
