Sony has quietly removed Destruction AllStars from the PlayStation Store and taken its multiplayer servers offline, citing ongoing technical issues that persisted for five years.
The vehicular combat title, developed by Lucid Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, launched in February 2021 as a PS5 exclusive after multiple delays and a pricing adjustment from $70 to $20 post-PS Plus promotion. Multiplayer services are now permanently offline, with existing owners granted access to single-player Arcade Mode until November 25, 2026, at 3pm UTC, after which all server support ends and virtual currency redemptions cease.
The decision arrives without prior public warning beyond a player email, following reports of servers being unavailable since May 2024 in some cases. Lucid Games, now under Tencent ownership, receives no further mentions in the update.
This marks another measured outcome for a live-service project that struggled to sustain engagement despite initial platform backing.
