Dead by Daylight is dragging Attack on Titan back from the grave like a cheap cash grab zombie that refuses to stay buried. The 2v8 mode returns April 28 through May 19, 2026, stuffed with new maps Ironworks of Misery and Temple of Purgation, plus Cage system tweaks, bleed-out pauses, reduced Oni uptime on downs, and lighter penalties for Deathslinger's reloads and misses. Fresh skins drop too: Legendary Attack Titan for Trapper, Cleaning Levi on Jake Park, Mikasa's Dark Uniform on Yui Kimura, and Sasha's Uniform on Thalita Lyra. Old 2022 gear like Armored Titan Oni and Eren Dwight are back in the shop, plus some anime quests for a badge, banner, and charm.
Behaviour's basically admitting the first crossover was too short-lived and the community bitched hard enough to force a sequel. X is lighting up with hype clips of Titan Trapper smashing eight survivors while players spam "WHERE'S EREN" and "this better not be paywalled to hell." Reddit's split between "finally more AoT in 2v8" and salty vets reminding everyone the original skins looked janky as fuck. No new maps themed around the Walls or Titans, just the usual Fog reskins getting a temporary coat of paint.
This is peak live service recycling: dust off a popular collab, slap it on the chaotic 2v8 format everyone actually plays, and watch the whales open their wallets again. Dead by Daylight isn't evolving—it's just looping the greatest hits until the player count flatlines. Highguard-level desperate, but with better marketing. At least the chaos looks fun for three weeks.
