DCKO just dropped its announcement trailer and the internet immediately renamed it Dicko before the first combo even landed. Warner Bros. and new studio Drop Fake (ex-Kabam devs behind big mobile fighters) are bringing a free-to-play 2v2 tag fighter to iOS and Android in 2027, complete with real-time PvP and PvE modes starring the usual DC suspects like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, and more.
The name was always gonna be meme bait—it's literally styled after Riot's 2XKO—and the official account leaned in hard with "BIG DCKO ENERGY" replies while pros like SonicFox called the trailer "lowkey so fire" and Justin Wong said he'd definitely play it. Meanwhile, the usual suspects on X and Reddit are already doomposting about no Injustice 3, mobile controls killing the genre, and another DC fighter stuck on phones instead of consoles.
Mobile gaming's still printing money though, with Sensor Tower reporting revenue up and sessions climbing, so this thing's built to chase that broader audience even if the fighting game community wanted something with a bigger screen. Pre-reg is already open at playdcko.com. Whether it slaps or gets roasted into the ground is gonna depend on how that tag system actually feels on touch controls.
