Culdcept BEGINS is finally rolling the dice on PC, with the Steam launch locked for October 28 following a July debut on Switch and Switch 2. The board-card hybrid has already cleared 100,000 units shipped and sold worldwide on Nintendo platforms, a respectable number for a niche revival of a series dormant for a decade. Neos Corporation is bundling in three new battle maps, UI tweaks, ten extra cards, and a Digital Deluxe Edition early-purchase incentive to sweeten the PC port.
This isn't some gacha grind or live-service trap—it's the same territory-control dice-and-deck formula that's hooked old-school fans since the Saturn days. Players move via rolls, claim lands, summon creatures from over 400 cards across five elements, and clash with items and spells while the opponent tries to snatch your domains. The story follows transfer student Kamur at the Royal Cept Academy on the continent of Bavrashka, awakening Cepter powers amid continent-threatening battles. Online PvP supports up to four players, with single-player story and AI matches rounding it out.
The Steam page lists an October 27 unlock in some regions, but official announcements from @Culdcept_NeosEN and Gematsu nail the 28th with the expanded content hitting consoles too. A demo with the new map "X" is already live for Steam Next Fest. For a franchise that once cracked a million cumulative units, this PC push could finally drag more Cepters out of the woodwork without forcing anyone into banner-chasing nonsense.
