Saber just dropped a four-minute gameplay overview for Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival and it’s exactly the kind of grotesque, chain-swinging chaos the franchise deserves before the October 8 multi-platform drop. The trailer parades brutal melee and firearms, trap-laying, ammo-scavenging, and the Genesis Configuration box that lets you yeet enemies with telekinesis, barbecue them with fire, and finally unleash the legendary Hell Chains for maximum suffering. Enemy roster includes Cultists, Runners, Bursters, and the Unworthy, all lined up to get dismantled while you barter upgrades and manage resources in the shifting Labyrinth.
The Genesis box powers are the real star here — hurl objects, scorch foes, gather their Suffering as currency, and eventually chain-pull the room into submission. It’s first-person survival horror with story beats about rescuing girlfriend Sunny from Pinhead’s domain, voiced once again by Doug Bradley. Platforms confirmed: PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and Steam PC. A demo is already live on Steam if you want early exposure to the Scarlet Church cultists and the box’s sadomasochistic toolkit.
This isn’t some sanitized reboot trying to play nice — it’s leaning into the gore, the puzzle-box bargain, and the “pleasure in pain” ethos without the usual corporate hand-wringing. If the gameplay delivers on the trailer’s visceral promise, this could actually resurrect the Hellraiser name instead of burying it deeper in the Labyrinth.
