CD Projekt Red's mysterious new IP, codenamed Project Hadar, remains in the earliest stages of development even after several years of work on its world vision. Joint CEO Michał Nowakowski confirmed in an interview with Polish outlet PAP Biznes that the team now has a coherent vision for the universe and its key elements, but the project is still only developing small prototypes and testing gameplay elements in Unreal Engine rather than advancing to pre-production.

Financial reports show just 33 people assigned to Hadar as of July 31, a fraction of the 519 working on The Witcher 4 or 184 on Cyberpunk 2. The studio has discussed expanding the team toward 50 by year-end, yet the pace underscores how this first fully original CDPR IP has moved slowly since its 2022 announcement as an entirely distinct concept.

Other projects like the multiplayer Witcher game Project Sirius have also seen team adjustments, while The Witcher 4 targets a 2028 release. Hadar's progress is presented as a foundational milestone, but the timeline suggests any substantial reveal or further movement is still distant.
