Capcom just dropped the first of its daily Boosted Action trailers for Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, kicking off with Great Sword and promising one weapon video every day until Tokyo Game Show. The new Boost Bracer lets hunters build energy through aggressive play then detonate it into a Boost Driver or weapon-specific moves that unlock fresh combos, explosive charged slashes, offset chains, and even aerial options.

This is the expansion's big combat hook for Master Rank, timed for 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC. Capcom's official posts and the Eurogamer breakdown confirm the system rewards staying in the monster's face, with three entry methods teased so far: Brace Boost for big damage, Quick Boost stance swaps, and combo extensions. TGS will bring the world's first playable demo of Ascendance with new locales and returning Elder Dragons.

Old heads already whining about wirebug energy on X can choke on it — this is Capcom pushing every weapon into a faster, more offensive identity to match tougher threats. Daily videos through September 15th mean the hype train doesn't stop until the showcase hits. If the Great Sword footage is any indication, the rest of the roster is about to look ridiculous in the best way.
