Keiichiro Toyama's Bokeh Game Studio has moved past the modest launch of Slitterhead and straight into pre-production on another untitled horror project. The studio is casting motion-capture performers for a slate of characters that lean into the same grim territory the director carved out across Silent Hill and Siren.
A leaked casting sheet details roles such as River (early-20s, high-strung, references River Phoenix and Kurt Cobain), Lyra (Mia Goth tonal reference), plus Dean, Hazel, Becca, Dena, Emma and an eight-year-old girl. Descriptions flag mature content including drug trafficking, substance abuse, violence, grief, sex work and creature transformations—details that line up closely with the transformation mechanics that defined the studio's 2024 debut. MP1st first surfaced the sheet; Eurogamer and Hobby Consolas quickly corroborated.
Toyama's track record suggests the new game will once again prioritize atmosphere and moral friction over conventional jump scares. Whether the mocap work will translate into something that finally moves the needle commercially remains to be seen, but the early signs point to another singular, unapologetically strange entry rather than a safe follow-up.
