The deal covers Asteroids, Pong, Missile Command, Breakout, Centipede, Millipede, Adventure, Berzerk, Crystal Castles, and Yars’ Revenge, with Entertainment 360 producing an original screenplay by Matt Reilly and Carl Hampe.

Wade Rosen frames it as exporting the brand’s “spirit” to a new medium, but the list reads like a preservationist’s greatest-hits compilation rather than a coherent cinematic slate. Pong as an action-adventure blockbuster? That pitch alone deserves its own documentary on creative malpractice.

The timing tracks with Atari’s broader pivot under Rosen—acquiring Nightdive, Digital Eclipse, and a stack of old IPs while declaring the company done being a “fast follower.” Hollywood loves mining nostalgia when it can pad runtime with CG spectacle; whether these titles survive the translation or join the pile of game-to-film misfires remains the real high score to chase.
