Aksys Games just dropped the Western physical edition bomb for Another Eden Begins on Switch and Switch 2, landing in 2027 while the digital version drops worldwide September 17 across Switch 2, Switch, and Steam. Japan gets its physical day-and-date with digital on the 17th, because of course they do. Masato Kato steering the time-travel script with Yasunori Mitsuda scoring means this mobile spin-off is gunning for that Chrono Trigger nostalgia coin, complete with NG+ branching endings and full voice work.

Western collectors get the long wait while the rest of the world plays the cartridge-free digital life. Aksys announced it at Anime Expo, right alongside other localization drops, and the physical trailer confirms it's a proper boxed edition for both Switch platforms. No word yet on pricing or pre-order windows, but physical Switch 2 releases are still that rare breed collectors chase.

Mobile-to-console ports keep rolling in, and gacha whales like me watch the banner economy shift to upfront console pricing. Another Eden Begins joins the wave, but the year-long physical delay for the West screams "buy digital now, regret the shelf space later."
