NCSoft just dropped the global PC drop for AION 2 in 2026 and this chain-smoking whale is already calculating how many banners I'll smash on day one. After KR/TW launch last November that hit over KRW 100 billion in revenue in under two months, the devs are bringing the vertical sky battlefield MMO to NA, EU, JP servers on Steam and Purple — PC only for the West, no mobile dilution. Ten languages supported including English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, and both Chineses. The world map is supposedly 36 times bigger than the 2008 original with free flight, underwater diving, and aerial PvE/PvP combat that actually looks like it might not suck.
KR players roasted the early monetization and polish but NCSoft actually listened — rapid patches, live streams, even got a damn coffee truck from fans. That's not the NCSoft I remember bleeding wallets dry on old AION. Global version skips Korea store page entirely, targets four server regions, and Steam wishlist is live. Reddit's split between nostalgia freaks hoping for flying daeva chaos and doomers calling it Throne and Liberty with wings. X is hyped with "peak is back" posts while warning about the inevitable greed speedrun.
Whales like me know the drill: this is NCSoft's full-scale global offensive after the KR success. Season 2 roadmap already rolling in Asia with more content drops. If they fix the bag space scams, sub walls, and keep the aerial combat crisp, 2026 could actually deliver an MMO that doesn't die in six months. Or it becomes another live service corpse. Either way I'll be there with my credit card ready. F2P plebs, start saving now.
